Course Description

MDM4U broadens students’ understanding of mathematical concepts related to managing data. The course focuses on organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data to solve problems involving probability and statistics. Students will also design and conduct a culminating investigation integrating statistical skills and mathematical reasoning.

Aligned with the Ontario curriculum, this course prepares students for university programs in business, social sciences, and humanities. Through this course, students will learn to:

Use probability and statistics in real-world contexts.
Apply sampling techniques and data organization methods.

Final Grade

Credit Requirements:

70% Ongoing Assessment:

30% Final Evaluation:
